April 8, 2025 - As we approach the ramp-up to political season in our state and county, the City of Jasper would like to remind all candidates of the restrictions for sign placement. Appendix A, Article VI, Division 4 of the Jasper City code of Ordinances is where you will find the regulation of all signage inside the city limits. Please be aware that NO SIGNAGE shall be allowed in any Right of Way throughout the city. The signage placed on the Right of Way will be removed and disposed of as any other item. This means that all signage must be on private property only. Signage must be removed within 5 days of the date of election to avoid being removed and disposed of.
This ordinance covers signage of any kind, whether it is advertising an event, a business, or any other means of communication. Again, NO SIGNAGE may be placed in any Right of Way, on public lands, or off premises for what is being advertised.
Please feel free to reach out to the Jasper Public Works Department with any questions at 205-221-8529.
