Qualification of Candidates
Must have been a resident of the municipality for at least ninety (90) days prior to the election and be a qualified elector at the time of filing of the statement of candidacy.

What Must I Do to Become a Candidate?
- File a statement of candidacy beginning June 10, 2025, and before June 24, 2025, at 5:00 pm at Jasper City Hall.
- Pay a $50 qualifying fee or provide an exemption from this fee.
- File a Statement of Economic Interest with the State Ethics Commission within five (5) days after qualifying.
Note: All candidates that receive contributions or make expenditures in excess of one thousand dollars ($1,000), must file electronically with the Secretary of State FCPA forms.
