NOTICE - March 9, 2026
The Jasper Civil Service Board will give a written test for the following positions. All exams will be at the Jasper Police Department unless otherwise notified. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and present a copy of the following documents at the time of making application:
- Current drivers license
- Social security card
- Birth certificate
- High school diploma or GED
- Three current letters of recommendation (from non city employees) signed and must include a phone number.
All documents must be turned in with application. Please make your own copies.
Deadline to apply for all positions – March 31, 2026 10:00 AM
Police Officer: Starting pay - $46,963.52 Test Date: April 14, 2026 10:00 a.m.
Must be 21 years of age or older on or before the test, pass a physical agility exam and a psychological exam, have an excellent driving record and pass a background check which includes a credit check.
Corrections Officer (Jailer) starting pay $40,496.49 Test Date: April 14, 2026 10:00 am
Must be at least 19 years of age
Clerk (any department) starting pay $33,237.36 Test Date: April 14, 2026 10:00 am
Communications Technician (Dispatcher) starting pay $36,687.83 Test Date: April 7, 2026 10:00 a

The successful applicant will be required to submit to a drug test prior to employment.
