August 8, 2026- Notice: The Jasper City Council hereby provides notice that the dates of its next two regular council meetings have been changed. The revised meeting schedule is as follows:
- The regular meeting scheduled for August 18 has been changed to August 25.
- The regular meeting scheduled for September 1 has been changed to September 8.
Only the meeting dates have changed. The meetings will be held at the regularly scheduled time of 10:00 a.m. at Jasper City Hall.
July 17, 2026 - To allow for planned renovations and facility improvements, the Jasper Animal Shelter will temporarily move to Priority 1 Intake beginning immediately.
These improvements are part of the City's ongoing commitment to enhancing the shelter for both the animals in its care and the community it serves.
During Priority 1 Intake, the shelter will operate under emergency intake procedures. During this time, standard healthy stray intakes and owner surrenders will be temporarily suspended. The shelter will only accept:

COMMUNITY INPUT HELPS SHAPE FOCUS 2030 STRATEGIC PLAN
This Thursday, we invite you to join us for the FOCUS 2030 Community Meeting as we take the next step in planning Jasper’s future.
During the meeting, we will review the results of the community survey, discuss what we heard from residents, and share the next steps in the development of the City’s five-year strategic plan.
There will be no Jasper garbage collection on Monday, May 25, 2026, due to the Memorial Day holiday. All pickups will be delayed by one day beginning with the regular Monday pickups occurring on Tuesday.
All non-essential city offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of the Memorial Day federal holiday and will reopen for regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
